A sightseeing trip around the fjord can easily fill a whole day if you make stops at places of interest and want to enjoy nature and local food to the fullest. You can spend another day driving further along the western side of the fjord, taking a break in the mountainous valley of Svarfaðardalur or continuing through the Héðinsfjarðargöng tunnel to Siglufjörður town to visit the excellent Herring Museum (100 km/62 mi from Hotel Natur).
