The new movie 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' starring and directed by Ben Stiller will be released in US theatres on Christmas Day.
A large part of the film is shot in Iceland, including the harbour towns Stykkishólmur on Snæfellsnes Peninsula in West Iceland and Seyðisfjörður in East Iceland. Important shots were also taken at sea outside Garður on Reykjanes Peninsula in Southwest Iceland.
We can't wait to see it!
The movie is based on the short story by James Thurber (1939). It is about a day-dreamer who escapes his anonymous life by disappearing into a world of fantasies filled with heroism, romance and action.
