Accommodation
The Sunset Cottage is a 42m2 with two bedrooms, kitchen facilities, fridge, stove and cooking equipments, a bathroom with shower and a seating area. The cottage has outdoors BBQ (not in winter) and is extremely well situated to enjoy the West Icelandic sunset in summer, spring, autumn and the northern lights in winter.
The Sunset Cottage is only 35 meters from the service house (hot tubs) and 120 meters from the reception/restaurant. The Sunset Cottage has it name for a reason. Free WI-FI and is included. Rooms come with bed linen and towels.
Breakfast is not included, but available at Fossatún Restaurant. Restaurant is seasonally open for dinner. In winter reservations must be made.
At Fossatún you can also stay in rooms with private/en-suite bathroom, all with a beautiful view of the Grímsá River, Troll's falls or towards the mountains. For a camping kind of feeling. Camping pods for sleeping bag accommodation can be a good choose. The standard camping pods are for 2 pers. but they are up to family of 4 pers. It is possible to rent a bed linen package (duvet, pillow, sheets and towel). The camping pods have all access to shower and toilet facilites, a kitchenette and hot tubs.
Meals/restaurant
On-site café/restaurant Kaffi Vinyll serves quality home-cooked food. Seats up to 100 people. Outdoor patio with a beautiful view over Troll’s falls in Grímsá River and towards the mountains. Good conference and meeting facilities, wireless internet.

Services/recreation
Host Steinar is a musician and former record producer. He has a large LP record collection on show at the restaurant which guests are welcome to browse and listen to. During summer there are daily screenings of 'Acoustic Iceland', a short DVD film combining Icelandic music and nature at lunch - and dinnertime.
A troll-themed garden features a walking trail of the scene and place names of the story 'The Last Troll', written by the host Steinar himself. Various games are available to play in the garden such as 'troll tennis' and 'troll golf', suitable for children and adults alike.
Riding tours at Ölvaldsstaðir, near Borgarnes village (17 km). Golf (9 hole golf course) at Nes in Reykholtsdalur valley (7 km) and near Borgarnes village (Hamarsvöllur, 18 hole golf course). Next swimming pool at Kleppjárnsreykir (5 km). Krauma and Deildartunguhver 14 km. Next urban area: Borgarnes village (18 km); restaurants, shops, a swimming pool, museums and various services for tourists.
