Hraunmörk is set in a peaceful location on gated private land. The cottages sit upon the mossy heathlands at the end of Skeiðavegur, with panoramic views to the mountain ring above the southern lowlands, as well as to Mt. Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull glacier. The location is ideal for anyone who wants to explore the area, whether you want to visit the charming seaside villages of Eyrarbakki and Stokkseyri, explore the world-renowned Þingvellir National Park, get to know the sustainable community at Sólheimar in Grímsnes, drive up to the upper regions of the province (Skálholt, Laugarvatn, Geysir, Gullfoss and Þjórsárdalur), or travel east to Fljótshlíð and the beautiful countryside around Eyjafjallajökull. Of course, Hraunmörk also makes a wonderful place to simply rest, relax and have fun, whatever the time of year.
