Itinerary

Day 1 | Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, Vík and Reynisfjara

You are picked up from your hotel in Reykjavik ready to hit the Ring Road. Your first stop takes you behind the breathtaking Seljalandsfoss waterfall before you go feel the power at Skogafoss. These glaciers you see in the distance are Eyjafjallajökull (sounds familiar?) and Myrdalsjökull. You then head East to the picturesque town of Vik, not far from Reynisfjara basalt column formations and the photogenic peaks of Reynisdrangar. Relax and recharge during a pleasant evening in the countryside, far from light pollution and thus ideal for northern lights hunting.

Accommodation for 1 night in a hotel room with private bathroom.

Day 2 | Glacier Vatnajökull, Jökulsárlón lagoon and Diamond Beach

Today Iceland lives up to its name, offering panoramic views over the numerous glacial tongues extending from Europe’s largest glacier, Vatnajökull. Enjoy the mesmerizing iceberg drift and sound of ice cracking at Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, before you reach the aptly named Diamond beach, a temple of lights and textures. Witness the fragile beauty of a natural ice cave, whose hues of blue change constantly. Soak up the views at Skaftafell Nature Reserve before you make your way back to Reykjavik, with another chance to catch northern lights, to end the trip on a high note.
