What is the Imagine Peace Tower?

The tower takes the form of a serene wishing well, with the words "IMAGINE PEACE" inscribed in 24 languages along its sides, serving as a constant reminder that peace transcends borders. When is it lit?
The tower shines from one hour after sunset until midnight between October 9 and December 8 (the dates marking John Lennon's birth and death). It is also illuminated from the Winter Solstice through New Year's Day, on Yoko Ono’s birthday, and during the Spring Equinox week. The ever-changing weather in Iceland influences the tower’s brightness and intensity, adding a dynamic element to its display.
