Day1 | Arrival Day

Upon arriving in Akureyri, collect your car at the airport. Enjoy a leisurely day in the heart of Akureyri, and in the afternoon, take time to explore this charming town, often referred to as the "capital of the North," beautifully situated within a fjord.

You'll be staying in Akureyri for the next three nights.

Day 2 | Lake Mývatn Area

Begin your day with a visit to the magnificent Goðafoss Waterfall, aptly named the "Waterfall of the Gods." Next, head to Lake Mývatn, renowned for its unique landscapes and geothermal activity. Spend the morning exploring the lake and its surroundings, including the intriguing Dimmuborgir lava fields. In the afternoon, unwind in the soothing waters of the Mývatn Nature Baths, the perfect way to relax after a day of adventure.

Day 3 | Akureyri Area

Consider starting your morning with a whale watching tour from Akureyri harbor. The waters around Akureyri are teeming with marine life, offering the chance to see humpback whales, dolphins, and more. Alternatively, you could opt for a dog sledding tour near Mývatn or go horse riding. After your tour, take a leisurely stroll through the Akureyri Botanical Garden. In the afternoon, unwind at Skógarböðin (Forest Lagoon), nestled among birch and pine trees with enchanting views over Eyjafjörður.

Day 4 | Departure
