FLEXIBLE BOOKING TERMS
Valid for bookings made until June 1st 2022 for arrivals throughout the year 2022.
We want to do everything we can to help you book your trip to Iceland with certainty and ease of mind, so we have adjusted our booking terms for reservations for your benefit.
Terms for self-drive packages
- If cancelled 8 days or more before tour arrival date
90% refund - 10% (deposit) used as a credit balance for a later tour- travelled before December 31st, 2022.
- If cancelled 7- 4 days before tour arrival date
50% refund - the remaining 50% used as a credit balance for a later tour- travelled before December 31st, 2022.
- If cancelled 3 days or less before tour arrival date
No refund
Terms for accommodation bookings
- If cancelled 15 days before arrival date
100% refund
For changes in dates, type or place of accommodation- no changing fee applies - if the price for the new reservation is higher, you will be charged the difference.
- If cancelled 14 - 4 days before arrival date
90% refund - 10% non-refundable
For changes in dates, type or place of accommodation 10% of the amount will be charged - if the price for the new reservation is higher, you will be charged the difference.
- If cancelled 3 days or less before tour arrival date
No refund
Terms for activities and day tours
- Terms and Conditions vary from one tour operator to another. During the online booking process of day tours and activities you will be presented with each operator ‘s terms and conditions.

My trip is scheduled in 2022 and I am a bit concerned. What should I do?
We encourage you to follow the information posted by the Iceland Tourist Board, and reach out to your Hey Iceland travel consultant if you have any questions or comments. We are here for you. What happens to the deposit I've paid, in case your company goes bankrupt because of the virus?
We understand why you may be worried about that. Hey Iceland is a fully licenced travel agency/tour operator, licenced by the Icelandic Tourist Board fulfilling all legal obligations and have provided a declaration of guarantee through a bank in the event of bankruptcy or cessation of the travel agency's operations, according to Tourism Administration Act no. 73/2005 in relation to package tours. This means that we have insolvency insurance and you can book with us with ease of mind.
