Crystal Ice Cave in Vatnajökull Glacier

Experience the extraordinary world of an ice cave where the scattering of the light as it seeps through the ice, gives the cave a mystical blue colour. The tour starts by Jökulsárlón Glacier lagoon, from there we will drive to the glacier edge and prepare for the ice caving. Once in the ice cave you will have about 45 minutes to explore the cave. Daily departures from November to March.

Information

  • Minimum age is 10 years.
  • Please note that glaciers are always changing and as do ice caves. One ice cave will be visited during the tour and will the choice of a cave be based on conditions and safety. 
  • A hotel pick-up is not available for this particular tour, you must arrange your transportation to the meeting point by Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon.
